Christine Danis, MS, PT is among the first in the area to invest in a Deep Tissue Therapy Laser from LiteCure Medical.

Drug free, pain relief is the goal for individuals suffering from acute or chronic pain. Christine Danis, MS, PT can offer you a non-surgical, non-invasive option that truly has the power to eliminate or significantly reduce your pain. The Deep Tissue Therapy Lasers work by flooding the tissues with photons, energizing the damaged cells and increasing circulation to the painful area. This produces a cascade of healing responses in your body, reducing inflammation, thereby reducing or even eliminating your pain. The deep tissue laser therapy accelerates your body’s own natural healing process through photo-bio-stimulation. Treatments take just a few minutes; however, the therapeutic effect continues to soothe and heal long after you leave the office.

Christine Danis, MS, PT is an ImPACT trained certified physical therapist who can evaluate and treat patients who have suffered a concussion. She can evaluate the cervical spine, ocular and vestibular systems, and balance and plan appropriate treatments based on the evaluation. She uses the BESS (Balance Error Scoring System) to assess balance and the VOMS (Vestibular/Ocular-Motor Screening). Exertion training, balance training, and vestibular and ocular training can all be a part of the rehabilitation with progression to return to play. A customized home exercise program will be tailored to each individual patient. Current research concludes patients that have cervicovestibular rehabilitation were cleared to return to sports much sooner than controls.

ImPACT Testing & Concussion Rehabilitation

Christine Danis, MS, PT offers ImPACT testing. ImPACT testing stands for Immediate Post-concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing. The ImPACT test that is offered is the most widely used and most scientifically validated computerized concussion evaluation system. Recently ImPACT is the first and only concussion-specific solution to be granted medical device clearance by the U.S. FDA. ImPACT provides trained clinicians with neurocognitive assessment tools that have been medically accepted as state-of-the-art best practices: as part of determining safe return to play decisions. The ImPACT test is one important piece of the overall concussion evaluation and management process. It is a sophisticated test of neurocognitive functioning (thinking, memory, concentration, and information-processing abilities).

It is a tool that can help health care professionals track recovery of cognitive processes following concussion and help make decisions about academic needs in school as well as athletics. The ImPACT test is computerized and takes about 25 minutes to complete. Baseline tests are suggested every 2 years to account for brain maturation. A pediatric ImPACT test is available for kids 5-11 years old.

Patient Testimonials

“For 20 years, I suffered from low back pain, exacerbated by running, doing yard work, and prolonged sitting. The issue escalated to a point where I was unable to move during a business trip abroad due to a bout of severe nerve root pain. I was then fortunate enough to be connected with Christine Danis to undergo an evaluation and therapy. As a physician myself, I can really appreciate what a wonderful clinician she is: taking the time to obtain a thorough history and performing a detailed clinical exam. She diagnosed my problem during my first visit and put me immediately on a PT regimen. I noticed an improvement right away and stuck diligently to the regimen of exercises she gave me. I am incredibly thankful for her thoughtful approach, which has resulted in my being able to resume activities I had stopped for 20 years such as playing tennis and running! I am in the best shape I have been in a long time and all of this is thanks to Christine Danis.”

“Being an athlete and having suffered sports injuries in the past, as well as having been in a very severe auto accident, I have visited several PT’s over the past 35 years with no success. Most recently, in attempts to address severe chronic back pain, I was sent by a spine specialist to a local PT and again found disappointment in achieving results. Frankly, those PT’s seemed to be just going through the motions. Office treatment and assigned exercises were simply not doing anything for me. Then… I was referred, by a friend, to Christine Danis. Within the first half hour, she had assessed the root cause of my pain issues. After just a few visits with Christine, the pain level was substantially reduced. Christine cares about getting results and measurable improvement. She is not only knowledgeable, capable, and attentive but also possesses state-of-the-art tools to serve her patients. I have the utmost confidence in her abilities and also the thought that I will actually live a pain-free life as a result of her care.”

“Thanks so much for checking in. Our last visit was nothing short of life changing! I’ve been back to work full time, screens don’t seem to be an issue at all anymore, and I’ve been walking without any issues!”

“Christine is one of the most thorough physical therapists I have worked with. I had ankle surgery due to a triathlon injury. Christine worked with me extensively to get me back racing and I am back racing stronger than ever. Whenever I was feeling frustrated, Christine would reassure me that it was normal and that I was making progress. I believe the combination of the laser, ultrasound, Graston technique and the extensive exercises had me working out in no time. I highly recommend Christine.”

“Anyone who has ever been told to stop doing a sport they love due to injury should consult Christine Danis! I met Christine after my primary care, orthopedist, and two physical therapy offices failed to find the cause of my low back pain that I’d been suffering from for about two years. I was an avid runner, and I was being advised to stop running permanently. But, as a female in my 30’s, I wasn’t willing to give up on running so easily! Fortunately, I met Christine. On my first visit with her, she diagnosed me with misalignment of the SI joint. In three weeks, Christine had me back to running pain-free. Not only am I still running ten years later, but I’ve expanded into triathlons and have competed up to the half-iron distance. I would not be where I am had I not met Christine. The other Physical Therapists I went to were treating multiple patients at the same time that they were treating me, and they had me doing virtually the same exercises as their other patients. On the contrary, every visit I had with Chrissie was private, and the stretching and strengthening exercises she prescribed were specific to my injury. She spent an hour or more providing me one-on -one service at every visit! Whether you have a new injury or are in chronic pain, let Christine Danis get you back to the sport you love!”
